The past year Wiki Channel has been bought out by and since rebranded. While the channel will still feature original shows and movies and reruns of older shows. Wiki Channel will be heading in a new direction. Aiming for a new demo! Teens in high school and young teens/adults in college. The new MTV/Teennick/Freeform style network has already greenlit three new original series I will be working on closely. Alongside other shows by former and current chairmen!
WikiChannel is revamping as has new original programming coming soon in Fall 2017 and Spring 2018. List of new programming include;
"Sweet Like Honey" the half-hour multi-cam series follows sassy and soulful Honey Jackson (Rachel Crow look-a-like), a New Orleans native, singer and baking expert helping out at her dad's soul food restaurant alongside her younger brother. Follow her as she bakes deserts while trying to make it as a music sensation in her spare time while entering college. Joining Honey are her two best friends La'Keisha Parker (black girl, sassy and funny, etc Kim Parker from Moesha & the Parker's, Dijonay from Proud Family etc) and Troy (someone like Ryan Potter, Max Schneider eh idk someone Asian American in some way). The 5 member main cast show has already been called the next that's so raven.
Also debuting soon is the coming of age, single camera, dramedy, "Keeping Faith" which follows a 21 year old YouTube star Morgan (star of Less is Morgan online) who's life is turned upside down when her mother dies in a plane crash and is now responsible for her 11 year old sister Faith, and find a way to include her sister in her busy and crazy life all while trying to maintain a sense of family.
Finally, a single camera thriller/drama "Baited" which stars closeted high schooler Alex who creates a fake social media account pretending to be a girl in order to retrieve naked photos of a classmate, but things get wild when football captain Jake gets a little to obsessed.
All three series are set o start production later this year for Wiki Channel's "new year, new shows" campaign.
NYCgleek recently spoke to Press today about another new shows today.
"Feeling Bleu" follows Bleu Collins, a College freshmen who's fallen into the lazy, college phase and struggles with money, romance, friends, and maintaining a perfect GPA. Right before his midterm, Bleu discovers something surprising that changes his whole life forever.
The night before his midterm Bleu and his off and on again fling, Monica get into a fight when. Bleu wants more she likes being lowkey due to the fact she has a boyfriend. Thinking he'll never find a good enough girl he goes to a party getting really drunk and wakes up in the room with another guy, but not just any guy. Monica's boyfriend! Now Bleu, tries to go through college freshman year struggling to find himself in the midst of his newly discovered bisexuality, while facing the criticism and attraction that entails while still being a struggling college student.
Finally, Jessie1010 returns with new family comedy with writers from series like Black•ish and The Goldbergs. Based off his best selling book "The Whites Are At It Again: Mixing Up in a world of color" the title of the series "The Whites Are At It Again" is set o start production late 2018.

With all these new shows and more wiki channel promises to bring in brand new faces as well as feature some old ones. It was announced earlier last year that 'Break Free' would be moved to BET after haunted production.
